KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Several days ago the ASPU Base School N57 organized trainings headed “Welcome to the World of Critical Thinking” with the participation of the school’s teachers and the ASPU students of the Faculty of Philology and Primary Education currently passing their internships at the ASPU Base School.

The seminar was exceptional because all the teachers of the base school, the University lecturers and the future teachers (the interns) were working at one and the same table.

The conductors of the seminar –the Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education Ms. Heghinei Khachatryan and the Chief Specialist of the National Institute of Education Ms. Lusinei Alexanyan built up the consequence of trainings based on the principle that the participants acquire the experience of working with methods at first as a pupils, then in their mind weigh and analyse the new information based on their personal experience.

The aim was to realize the necessity of applying the student-centered teaching and getting acquainted with teacher-pupil cooperation, discussing the models of modern courses.

The organizers notice that theoretical courses are losing their value if it is not practically applied; for that reason the course suggests interactive teaching and involving methods due to which the interest towards education rises.
