02.04.2015

From 10-31 March the ASPU Vice Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation Mr. Ara Yeremyan and the Head of International Cooperation Department Ms. Christina Tsaturyan had meetings with BA freshmen from ten Faculties of the University.

The aim of the meeting was to increase the students’ awareness about the internationalization of the University and the mobility programmes offered to the ASPU students within the scope of international cooperation.

In the course of meetings with the ASPU Rector’s office members, Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan highlighted the importance of the initiative and recommended to the University’s staff to support the organization process thereof at the same time that it would give the students a chance to ponder over their future professional development and career already on the first year at the university.

During the event the students were introduced with the University’s scope of international cooperation and its activities on an international platform, the geographic range of the ASPU cooperation, possible direction for development of the university’s internationalization, as well as summer schools held in the previous years and additional details about the participation therein.

Moreover, it was mentioned during the meetings that the rapid paces of development of international cooperation and the perspectives of new programmes would give opportunities to the APSU students to spend part of their studies abroad.

At this point the importance of studying a foreign language was particularly emphasized and encouraged; this was a primary precondition before engaging in such exchange programmes.

The students digested the new information with pleasure showing excitement especially about the competition for the “Summer School” programme to be held in the course of the current year.
