Soldiers Received Lectures at the Pedagogical
23.04.2012
65 servicemen of the Noubarashen military unit received their regular lecture at the Armenian State Pedagogical University building.

It’s already several months, the Pedagogical University, in joint cooperation with the intercollegiate consortium member Universities, has initiated the RA Government project “Survey on Soldiers’ Educational Needs Assessment and Implementation of Educational Programmes at RA AF Military Units”.

The project is executed in two military units of the country – Ararat and Noubarashen.

The best lecturers of the University and the postgraduate students who volunteer for the project, delivered lectures on 8 disciplines out of the 21 included in the course schedule.

“We have noticed an urgent and grave necessity to activate the course that has been lasting for months. From that point of view, the lack of the corresponding modern technologies at the military units was a serious obstacle.

Thus, on the request of the commander of the military unit, in order to fill in the gap and to make the future students familiar with the modern teaching methods, a visit to the Pedagogical University has been organized for them,” the Vice Rector of Distant and Additional Learning, Candidate of Physical –Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Tigran Ayvazyan said.

Upon the end of the lesson, the soldiers got familiar with the professional and fiction literature samples at the University’s Humanitarian Literature reading-hall.

In close future it is intended that the soldiers of the Ararat military unit also visit the University within the framework of the same project.

Let us remind that the project aims to train the soldiers, who are in their last months of service and have the corresponding aspiration to study, for the RA universities and vocational educational establishments.
