Today, on the Motherhood and Beauty Day, the fashion show “Treasures of Armenia” fall-winter 2015-2016 by famous designer, lecturer of the Department of Design and Decorative Applied Art, Faculty of Art Education Vahan Khachatryan was held at the Pedagogical University.
“Armenian miniature is colorful and fashionable at all times”, mentioned the author of the collection Vahan Khachatryan emphasizing that creating with the elements that bearing national spirit is conditioned with the desire to demonstrate it abroad.
The author, inspired by the creations of Toros Roslyn and covers of the Armenian journal could not imagine the final appearance without a component commemorating the Armenian Genocide.
““I Remember and Demand” is translated into 18 languages; it is a type of message to raise the awareness around the world, to present and remind them; this is actually a special type of a message,” the designer mentioned in his interview to the old.aspu.am and added that the given collection had recently been demonstrated in Kiev for the first time, and had partly been shown in Paris, Milan and Rome which were considered the fashion centers.
In addition the collection was defiled for the guests by the students of the Pedagogical, who acted as models for a day.
In addition to the professional knowledge, the designer, as well as the lecturer of the University Vahan Khachatryan tried to show to his students the different path they chose advising them to be ready for the professional obstacles and complications.
We would also like to mention that among those present at the fashion show was the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the University’s faculty, students, prominent and renowned people in the sphere of fashion.
In fact such a fashion show is a novelty with its format at the higher education system.
