KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The Pedagogical University Faculties continue undertaking various initiatives commemorating the victims and the centennial of Armenian Genocide.

On the initiative of the Lecturers of the Department of Russian Language Anahit Baghramyan and Marieta Arackelyan and the sophomores of the Faculty of Law delivered comprehensive reports in Russian language referring to the historic events, presented facts and episodes from the crime committed in 1915, condemned what happened with the 1.5 million Armenians and called for the international society to name the crime committed in the beginning of previous century Genocide.

As future historians the students also discussed the Mass organized by the Roman Pope Francis, his message and the announcements regarding this, after which they noted that it was an important step to raise the awareness of the rest of the World about human rights, to be guided by universal noble values and to prevent further genocides.
