On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Carpe Diem jazz band of the ASPU Student Council presented the song “The Voice of Armenians” and its video.
The music and lyrics of the song were written by Suren Yeghiazaryan, a student of the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Sociology, who also demonstrated first attempts as a director.
The video features students from different Faculties of Armenian State Pedagogical University. (By the way, some of the singers do not have musical education). "The song was created in a relatively short period of time – in about two weeks, and the video was shot and mounted in two or three days," Suren Yeghiazaryan told old.aspu.am. He added that the idea belongs to him but the success of the video was ensured thanks to the teamwork.
The song "The Voice of Armenians" is already available on Youtube. It was viewed over 5000 times in one day.
