Today, the Rector of the Pedagogical University Rouben Mirzakhanyan had a meeting with the BA final year students from ten faculties prior to the final qualification examinations.
The aim of already traditional meeting is to hear from students themselves the worries and current issues they are facing, as well as to introduce the steps undertaken by the Rector’s office to ensure the proper organization and the process of examination.
At the very beginning of the meeting the rector noticed that lecturers present at the meeting were students themselves several years ago and can clearly understand the problems that the students have today. Thus, he urged to use all possibilities created in the examination hall and to get rid of the “graduation fears”, emotional mood and nervous tension typical to the exams.
In addition, Rouben Mirzakhanyan highlighted the importance of students’ active participation in consultations, additional trainings; likewise, he considered it correct and advisable to use the professional and educational library, programmes and dictionaries available in the examination room.
“Everything has been done to make the examination process as easy as possible to assist you in presenting your knowledge. HE who has knowledge, masters the subject, will not face any problem”, the Rector assured.
And last but not least, the Rector of the Pedagogical University considered it unacceptable and dishonest to award diplomas to students who did not have knowledge; similarly he outlined that by such a step they were harming their friends and the university’s reputation which actually had grown due to all their efforts.
During the meeting the students had a chance to discuss their questions with the Rector.
