KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the Pedagogical University welcomed the actors of the Gyumri State Puppet Theater after Stepan Alikhanyan on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of establishment of the theatre, within the scope of which the actors will present 80 performances in various establishments. 

The first stop of the puppet theater was the Pedagogical University where the oldest, the most favourite and successful performance on Hovhanness Toumanyan’s The Tailless Fox was presented to the audience. 

The performance, enriched with educative, sententious and musical solutions including 9 actors, was welcomed by the younger audience; the path and the challenges that the main hero overcame also taught them the three magical expressions- thank you, I am sorry, I am looking for the real secret. 

The Head of the musical unit of the Gyumri State Puppet Theater after Stepan Alikhanyan, Ms. Anahit Baghdasaryan did not consider it accidental that the theater’s first jubilee performance was staged at the Pedagogical University, emphasizing the fact that it would practically assist the students of that establishment who were going to become teachers later on.

In his turn, the Producer of the first puppet theater of Armenia Mr. Mamikon Stepanyan informed in his interview to the old.aspu.am that the theater had never faced a problem of lack of audience, and just like that day, the genre of the performance ensured a packed hall.

We would like to mention that the Gyumri State Puppet Theater after Stepan Alikhanyan visited the Pedagogical University on the initiative of the University’s Trade Union; moreover, the employees’ children also had the opportunity to watch the performance.
