The centenary slogan “I Remember and Demand” today brought together students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages who, at the initiative of the Student Council of the Faculty and lecturer Inna Sarkisyan, organized a commemorative matinee to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The students cited poems written on the battlefield and performed famous triumphant songs which have been sung from generation to generations for 70 years and will be remembered for a long time.
Speaking to old.aspu.am, Inna Sarkisyan, a lecturer of the Department of Foreign Literature, said she was proud to see that today’s young people are patriotic: any of them can be the descendant of a war participant.
The students were unanimous that fascism will not return as long as people remember and honour its bloody aftermath.
