KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the students of the Pedagogical University visited the National Assembly within the framework of the programme “Open Doors”; the visit of the students of the University after Kh. Abovyan commenced in the NA Sitting hall.

 

 

The students had the chance to follow the regular session of the legislative body, the work of the Deputies, after which they made a tour at the Parliament building. The Head of the NA Central Information Service MaroAsatryanintroduced the legislative body’s activities tothem, also the working process of the NA standing committees, drafting legislative initiatives and making decisions.

 

 

For the students of the Pedagogical University the open discussion lesson at the National Assembly was conducted by the Vice-President of the RA National Assembly Ms. HermieniNaghdalyan who highlighted the profession of pedagogues and noticed that after doctors’ profession it was the most important and the most complicated.  Teachers are educating the young generations, bringing them up, training them and making exemplary citizens.

 

In addition, the Vice-President of the National Assembly highlighted the importance of the military patriotic education of the new generation and the necessity of establishing the civil society.

 

By the students choice the meeting continued in a question&answer format and Ms. HermineiNaghdalyan replied to the students’ questions.

 

 

The question particularly referred to the dissemination of destructive sects and their negative influence on the army as well as to current social issues of the freedom fighters.

 

As pedagogues, students were also interested in the impact of the Bologna system on the education sector of Armenia and issues on having qualified specialists in the regions.

 

 

And last but not least, the Vice-President of the RA National Assembly spoke with admiration about the pedagogical institution, the students’ level of preparedness and their concern about public issues.
