“Vache Partizuni was a true professor with his posture, nature, exceptional honesty, loyalty and devotion to his work,” ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan said during a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Doctor of Philology, Professor Vache Partizuni.
During the event organized by the Department of New and Modern Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods, the Rector highlighted the fruitful activity of the scientist and his great contribution to the publication of a 4-volume book of [famous poet] Vahan Teryan, considering him ‘an unsurpassed connoisseur’ of the writer.

Suren Danielyan, Head of the Department of New and Modern Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods, considered the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the scientist [Vache Partizuni] to be a great celebration. Any meeting with the past strengthens everyone with experience and moves them forward with sweet memories, he said.
“Vache Partizuni is an important and enduring literary figure who found the road to wisdom, gained experience and reached new creative heights. He did tremendous work in transforming love for Teryan into science about Teryan, that is why, he continues to be an important source of Teryan even after his death,” Professor Danielyan said adding that Vache Partizuni was a leading literary critic and ‘no one has been able to fill his place to this moment.’
Vardan Devrikyan, Director of the M. Abeghyan Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, conveyed the words of the scientific community to the attendees and highlighted the event from educational and moral perspectives. “They say ‘a person lives as long as he is remembered.’ He lives in the memory of future generations. As a scientist, Partizuni differed from his contemporaries with his unique posture, his exactingness and good nature,” he said.

Mr Devrikyan stressed that Partizuni’s path is an example of heroism and feat: new generations are indebted to him for the work he did in the field of Teryanology.
The conference continued with presentations and reports of students and lecturers who presented an in-depth analysis of Partizuni’s literary merits and revealed the secret of his talent and its lasting effect.

The participants of the event confessed that Partizuni’s achievements, role and contributions, especially in the field of Teryanology, are undeniable. That is the main reason why he did not become yet another critic and translator of Teryan, but a mediator and a link that connects readers with the writer and introduces Teryan’s magical world to researchers.
The students also remembered the Professor who had paved the scientific way for many people with respect and honour. They have the same belief about the late scientist. “Happy is the generation who happened to be taught by Vache Partizuni,” they said unanimously.
