The Pedagogical University held the official presentation of Aghabek Khachatryan’s aka Bek’s books “Qajari” at the Humanitarian Literature reading-hall.

The fifty-page collection was edited by the Doctor of Philological Sciences Shchors Davtyan.

The presentation was attended by the author’s military friends and fellow-writers.

The opening speech was made by the Director of the University’s Humanitarian Literature Library Tigran Petrosyants. He greeted the guests and introduced Aghabek Khachatryan first of all as a participant of the Artsakh war, and then as the one who passed his war memoirs on to paper.

“States are created thanks to the love of the motherlands, and are destroyed due to the lack of that love. From that perspective, I grant an immense importance to such meetings of the Pedagogical students with war heroes,” Tigran Petrosyants added.

Afterwards, greeting speech was made by the Head of Personnel of the “Yerkrapah” Union of Volunteers Hakob Hakobyan. He congratulated his elder friend on the publication of the book and added, “This book is enriching not only me but the Armenian Literature and History. It is like a severe disease; as I begin reading it, I cannot give it up.”

Hakobyan considers this book not only as a patriotic manual, but also as the book of future of the Armenian nation.

Among those who came to congratulate Bek was the Vice Chancellor of the Forencsic Institute of Yerevan, graduate of the Pedagogical University Levon Tadevosyan who conferred on Aghabek Khachaturyan the title of “the Honoured Professor of the Yerevan Forensic Institute”.

More than that, the Director of the “Artsakh” website, the Honored Journalist Rouben Grigoryan also gave a high appraisal of the book written by the freedom fighter.

“When it is the man of weapon who takes up the pen that means that there are such ideas stuck like a dagger in his heart on which he desires to give an artistic description. In our times this particular type of an Armenian is the one required, as this person who survived the war has the desire to live, to love and to create. The truthful emotions, ideas, patriotic concepts, and the wonderful depictions which appear in his book, have their aim and objective.”

Additionally, the President of the “Aspetats Akademia /Knights Academy/” non-governmental organization, Major- General Arsen Titanyan, Major-General, the author of about thirty fiction books, Samvel Safaryan, and the TV Host, Producer Rouben Hovhannisyan also came to greet their military friend.

Upon the end of the presentation Aghabek Khachatryan expressed his acknowledgements to those present and passed his Erzurumi grandfather’s behest at the present students, “Educate patriotic children and try to speak less and to listen more.”

What is more, the Director of the ASPU Humanitarian Literature reading-hall Tigran Petrosyants, in the name of RA Ministry of Defense, conferred the medal “For Service Rendered to the Motherland” on the participants of the Artsakh battle Haroutyun Gevorgyan, Arayik Shirinyan, Yuri Silipanov, Levon Tadevosyan, Paruyr Manoukyan, Varoujan Hayrapetyan, Beniamin Eghiazaryan and Samvel Vardanyan.
