New professional books for future historians and lawyers
08.06.2015

The library collection of the Democracy and Human Rights Education Centre has been supplemented with new books which are mainly intended for students and lecturers of the Faculty of History and Law.

The dean of the Faculty, Edgar Hovhannisyan, hailed the human and organizational resources of the Centre and said it is very important that students and the teaching staff of the University work with modern literature. “Over 50 books in three languages will enable future historians and lawyers to view problems of the sphere in a new light and solve them in a new way,” he stressed.

Alexander Shagafyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Center for Democratic Education -CIVITAS and Head of the DHRE Centre, also highlighted the cooperation with the University in different directions. He expressed hope that the well-stocked and professionally staffed library which is updated on a regular basis will promote effective cooperation between the two institutions.

Let us note that the books were provided to the DHRE Centre considering the educational needs of different Departments of the Faculty.

The DHRE Centre was established within the framework of the Democracy and Human Rights Education in Armenia project, based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan and Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS.

The "Democracy and Human Rights Education in Armenia" project is funded by the UN Democracy Fund, UNDEF.
