KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The third open republican youth festival “Art Fest” took place; this year it was headed “Under the Common Roof”.  Among the participants were students from the Pedagogical University who had success and won prizes.

The student from the Department of TV Direction Boris Kirakosyan was awarded a diploma for the best role in the performance “Dante-esque 15” (stage director - Professor Aida Hovhannisyan).

The future director mentioned in his speech to the old.aspu.am that it was his first prize and added that he was happy to receive it particularly for his acting. 

Likewise, the “Art Fest “award was also granted to the third year student of the Department of TV Direction Arman Ayvazyan. The latter presented two films to the third open republican festival but the bronze award went to him for the film “Barev/ Hello”.

“The film presents the story of an Armenian man and a Turkish woman who met in a train going abroad; the identification of mutual nationalities is followed by a silence, and this becomes the climax of the film. The consequences show that the reason dates back for 100 years,” mentioned the young Director.

And last but not least, the graduate of the Pedagogical University Garnik Melick-Karapetyan was awarded the special prize after Armen Mazmanyan for the film “World of Armenia”.
