KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, on 26 June, is the 80 anniversary of the RA Honoured Pedagogue, Professor of the ASPU Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Member of the Professional Board 020 Granting Academic Titles under the Higher Qualification Commission Mnatsakan Manoukyan.

His fecund, rich and meaningful pedagogical path was nominated for its academic heritage including 12 monographs, 8 books and educational-methodological manuals, more than 120 academic articles, 25 PhD students and Applicants holding academic titles.

Numerous articles were written about his pedagogical activities, diverse opinions were declared.

“I would like to particularly highlight the friendship with the famous pedagogue V.A. Sukhomlinski, the frank love and deep respect of my pupils, students, PhD students, Applicants and partners”, Mnatsakan Manukyan mentioned in his speech to the old.aspu.am .

The latter particularly emphasized the monograph headed “School of Kindness and Dreams” developed by his daughter, Armenuhi Manukyan who is the Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy; the monograph introduces the path she has covered during her life and it was published a few days ago. 

The Professor of the ASPU Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy Mnatsakan Manukyan was awarded the RA Honoured Pedagogue’s title and the “Khachatur Abovyan” gold medal for the services provided for the development of schools and pedagogical mind.
