
A 3-day Training for the administrative staff on designing level and qualification descriptors was held within the framework of Tempus “ARMENQA” project on 22-24 June in Linkoping University, Sweden.
36 representatives from Armenian higher education institutions and Ministry of Education and Science, National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility, Republican Union of Employers and AEGEE Yerevan European Students' Forum participated in the meeting.

The main objective of the training was to facilitate the implementation of the Armenian National Qualifications Framework, formulation of level descriptors and learning outcomes, as well as the development of specific Sectorial Qualifications Frameworks. Training was conducted by the representatives of the Project’s European partners, namely by Janerik Lundquist (Linkoping University, Sweden), Volker Geimlich (University of Osnabrück, Germany) and Luc François (University of Ghent, Belgium).

The big group was split into two groups of 18 people and, besides the presentations, had practical assignments and tasks, which allowed to comprehend the RA National Qualifications Framework (ANQF) in comparison to the European ones, as well as to design learning outcomes in reference to the ANQF. The participants rated the training highly and stressed that it fully met the needs of their institutions. Afterwards, all the partner universities’ representatives will have in-house workshops within their institutions to share the gained knowledge with a wider audience.
TEMPUS ARMENQA is a three-year project of national importance leading to the implementation of National and Sectorial Qualifications Frameworks (NQF and SQFs) in the Republic of Armenia. The Project is financed by the European Commission in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy. The Coordinator of the Project is Linkoping University, Sweden. The Project is managed locally by the Yerevan State University and the Armenian State Pedagogical University. Besides, 11 Higher Education Institutions and organizations participate in the Project, namely:
