KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A few days ago a solemn award ceremony was held under the presidency of the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

The Catholicos awarded the St. Sahak-St. Mesrop Honour Medals of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the ASPU Professor of the Department of Fine Arts Zakhar Khachatryan for his devotion to the country and patriotism, as well as for achievements in the sphere of art and music.

The Supreme Patriarch highly appreciated the merit and contribution of Zakhar Khachatryan and the Professor of the Conservatory after Komitas Ms.Svetlana Navasardyan emphasizing that with their contribution they are paying into the glory and honour of the Armenian nation wishing that their example keeps motivating young artists.

During the solemn ceremony the Doctor, Professor of the Pedagogical University Hravard Hakobyan introduced the life and creative path of Zakhar Khachatryan praising his greatest merit in art.
