The Summer School 2015 Programme implemented jointly by Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) and Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU) named Maxim Tank was launched in Minsk on August 15.
ASPU students were given a warm welcome by Vladimir Shlykov, BSPU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Svetlana Kopteva, Vice-Rector for Educational Work, and Svetlana Kobachevskaya, Head of the International Cooperation Department.
The Armenian students got acquainted with the history of the Belarusian University, visited its museum and library where a pleasant surprise was awaiting the Belarusian side: while the librarian was expressing her regret over the shortage of Armenian-language books, the ASPU students donated Armenian books to the library.

The Armenian students also had a surprise – a three-day trip to the fabulous town of Trakai where they learnt more things about the history of Lithuania.
In the course of the cultural and educational trip, the group visited the ship Viti, got acquainted with the educational system of Lithuania and compared it with that of Armenia.

The future educators also visited a local chocolate factory in Trakai to ‘discover’ the secret of making delicious chocolate.
On the third day of the visit, the Armenian delegates visited the beautiful Vilnius Old Town just in the heart of the Lithuanian capital which fascinated them with its churches, art galleries and narrow streets. Later in the same day, the group visited Akropolis, one of the oldest and largest shopping malls in Europe.
