Participants of the Summer School programme spent another eventful day in Yerevan.

The group visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got acquainted with the historical facts and paid tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Many of the foreign students heard about the first genocide of the 20th century for the first time: they were so upset that they could not hold back their tears.

“It is very difficult for me to see the photos and films telling about the Armenian Genocide. I can imagine how painful it is for Armenians. This is the history of an entire nation,” said Anna Zhuravleva, a student of Moscow State University. Then she added that the Genocide remains a bleeding wound for Armenians and expressed her regret that the crime has remained unpunished to this day.

The participants of the programme had a busy day visiting the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Sergej Parajanov Museum and other interesting places in Yerevan.
