The participants of the “Summer School 2015” continue to explore the historical and cultural sights of Armenia; the next excursion was to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
During the visit to the Treasury Museum of Etchmiadzin the participants of the programme were introduced with the rare and expensive collections of Christian culture including samples of ecclesiastical and applied art, curtains for the altar, relics, robes, chandeliers, crosses, old Armenian books, clay pots, and wooden engravings.
Additionally, the foreign students paid a visit to Sagmosavank, the monastic complex of Kecharis, and had the opportunity to once again admire the beauty of ancient Armenian monasteries and the Armenian landscape. The spiritual atmosphere became more complete by the performance of spiritual songs by the ASPU student Vard Karapetyan.
To conclude, the eighth day was summarized with a sporting event; the Finnish and Lithuanian teams were the strongest in the volleyball competition; they took the first place.
