A group of first and second year MA students of the Faculty of Psychology and Social Pedagogy of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) after Kh. Abovyan participated in the 3rd republican conference of the Students Scientific Society (SSS) held in State Pedagogical Institute of Vanadzor on May 11. Among the participants were Arevik Antonyan, Tatev Baghdasaryan, Lilit Hakobyan, Mariam Petrosyan and Narine Mamyan.
The students delivered reports encompassing interesting and diverse theoretical and practical themes within the realm of conference’s branch “Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Work.”
The participants raised a number of key issues related to social pedagogy, discussed the perspectives of social-pedagogical activities in the light of reforms underway in the Armenian Armed Forces, development of inclusive education program in the light of reforms underway in the sphere of general education, functions and characteristics of a social pedagogue in children's homes and peculiarities of socialization of adolescents in rural areas.
The organizers of the conference - professors of the Chair of Pedagogy of Vanadzor Pedagogical Institute - hailed the active participation of ASPU students in the conference and praised their work, highlighting the importance of practical research in their reports.
