Today, the results of the 1st stage of the Olympiad organized by the Pedagogical University on its 90th anniversary were summarized at the Hall of the Faculty of Culture.

Before announcing the names of the winners, the audience enjoyed the musical part of the event, which comprised a concert organized by the Deputy Dean of Science in the Faculty of Art Education Margarita Baghdasaryan.
The “Female Choir” of the Faculty of Art Education, conducted by Gayane Mkhitaryan, presented the hymn of the University.
Afterwards, the concert was completed with the musical and dance performances by a group of students from the University.
Soon, the musical part of the event proceeded to the Olympiad winners awarding ceremony.
The Director of the ASPU Base High-School College, the Deputy President of the Olympiad Organizational Committee Naira Safaryan greeted all the participants of the Olympiad and said; “I would like to congratulate you in the name of the Pedagogical University for active participation in the Olympiad. Emphasizing the immense importance of this undertaking I hope that it was a success. And always remember that the doors of the pedagogical are open for you.”
The first prizes were awarded to Griqor Qerobyan, Edgar Minasyan, Vazgen Miqaelyan in Mathematics and Tigran Mamikonyan, and Tigran Petrosyan in Physics, who received the highest 20 points.

The second prize in Physics was granted to Razmik Hovhannisyan and the third prize in the subject of Mathematics was awarded to Avetiq Karagoulyan and Gegham Vardanyan.
Griqor Qerobyan, who won the first prize in Mathematics studies at the Physical-Mathematical School. He estimates the Olympiad test tasks of average complexity. Although he had previously won in the Republic Olympiad, this victory was also very desirable for him.
In addition, the Career Center of the Strategic Department of the University, which cooperated with the Deputy Deans of Science of the University Faculties, also showed active participation in the Olympiad.
And last but not least, we would like to mention that the 2nd stage of the Olympiad will be held in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Armenian Language and Literature, Foreign Languages / Russian, English, French, German/, History, and Informatics at the beginning of 2012/13 academic year.
