Song Festival on the 90th Anniversary of the Pedagogical University Establishment

Today, a music event headed as “Song Festival” was organized on the 90th anniversary of the Pedagogical University and on the 500th anniversary of Armenian Printing at Charles


 Aznavour Square in Yerevan.
 
 The event was arranged by the University’s Cultural Centre under the conduct of the Director of the Centre, the Honoured Art Worker Arkady Shekunts. 
 
The Masters of Event Artavazd Amiryan and Lucine Piroyan introduced the history and chronology of the creation of Armenian Printing and the Pedagogical University. 
 
In addition, during the event various multi-genres Choirs from Yerevan and other towns of the country such as Metsamor, Ejmiatsin, Spitak and from the Kotayq district, which had won at republic competitions and the artistic directors of which were the graduates of the Pedagogical University, also made performances.
 
Besides, the “Amberd” and “Tsitsernak” dance ensembles showed participation in the event with their dance performances. 
 
Moreover, Mher Matevosyan, Dalita, Gor Metsoyan, Anna Khachaturyan, Mher Galstyan, Jora Hakobyan and others passed on the audience cheerful mood with their rhythmic performances.
 
Afterwards, famous and beloved singer of the show-business Zaruhi Bababyan complimented her native university. The latter congratulated the Pedagogical University on the 90th anniversary of establishment and noted that she is especially proud of being the graduate of this very University.
 
And last but not least, the complimentary speeches were made by graduates of different years including the Honoured Worker of Culture, President of Music Society, Professor Davit Ghazaryan, who studied at the University 50 years ago.
