The Center for Professional Qualification Development and Intercollegiate Cooperation (hereinafter Center) of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) organized a professional training course from April 23 to May 10.
In this context, we interviewed NAIRA HAKOBYAN, Head of the Center.
What can you say about the participants of the training course? Which structures of the Ministry of Defense were involved in the program?
The unprecedented professional training course was intended for the military educational institutions of the Defense Ministry, specifically for 15 lecturer-servicemen and military psychologists of Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi, Military Aviation Institute, Military College after M. Melkonian and Military Institute after V. Sargsyan.
How long did the course last? How was it initiated?
The course duration was 72 hours. The participants were trained in accordance with the “Education” program, which focused on educational planning and development, global trends in educational development and reforms in the sphere of education, RA Law on Education, state education standards, reforms in the military education system, control over military education quality, Law on Military Service, Labour Code, development of teaching methods and attestation, knowledge assessment system, interpersonal relationships and exercise of official duties.
Who were training the program participants?
The training specialists were best doctors and professors of the Pedagogical University and other institutions, prominent specialists in the sphere of education: Hakob Hakobyan, Prosecutor of the RA Central Military Prosecutor's Offices, Ashot Yesayan, Chief of the Staff of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office, Arusyak Hovhannisyan, Head of the Chair of Pedagogy at the Pedagogical University, Hakob Tadevosyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Pedagogy at the Pedagogical University and many others.
Were the participants granted certificates testifying to their participation in the training course?
Yes, they were. Upon the completion of the course, we organized a certificate awarding ceremony which was attended by representatives of the RA Ministry of Defense. They expressed their appreciation to the Pedagogical University, emphasizing the importance of the training course, the right choice of subjects and the high quality of the teaching staff. They also expressed a desire to continue the training course.
