Today, the Head of the USA “National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations” (hereinafter, NECO) Nasser Kazeminy, who is currently in Armenia on the RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s
invitation, paid a visit to the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. The guest was welcomed by the Pedagogical University brass band, which reported a unique holiday mood to all those present even before the beginning of the event.
On this occasion arranged for Nasser Kazeminy at the University the ASPU Chancellor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan greeted the foreign guest and his wife, and later on characterized Nasser Kazeminy as somebody who achieved the exceptional success thanks to his talent and hard work, and made true the symbolic “American Dream”.
“You have the largest contribution in social charitable activities which is based on the idea that a young person can reach up real success due to his/her assiduous work and education. We are happy and proud to live with a person like you in the same world, and we are especially glad to meet you in the largest pedagogical establishment for the Armenian nation- the Pedagogical University,” Rouben Mirzakhanyan put in.
In his turn, Nasser Kazeminy expressed his acknowledgement for the cordial welcome and mentioned that he had spent four exciting days in Armenia.
Further on, Nasser Kazeminy, who is the proprietor of more than twenty computer companies or other organizations, told those present the story of how he settled down in the USA, how he got employed by one of the best computer companies of the time and how he expanded his business.
Moreover, paying the due significance to the role of education, the president of the USA «National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations» also mentioned, «It was of great importance for me to meet the lecturers and students of the Pedagogical as it is education, that can bring in competition to the labour market, and in order to be compatible, one needs to be well educated.»
Likewise, Kazeminy observed that the quality education was in the basis of his success due to which he fulfilled his «American dream”.
«Upon visiting Armenia I got assured that you are a nation of talent. You, Armenians, may also make true your Armenian dream, but before fulfilling it you need to first of all understand, what you motherland needs. Armenian dream is quite significative and meaningful; you believe in God, you have talent, history, which will favour the realisation of your Armenian dream. You have everything in your country,» he said.
Additionally, Kazeminy advised, «You do not need to create hundreds of companies, millions of workplaces. At the end of the day, what is the most important, is the willingness to work; just follow the call of your heart.»
The great businessman and philanthropist was especially impressed to see the performances of the ethnographic and folk dances of the Pedagogical University Dance Ensemble, during which he was given a surprise in form of a Persian dance. As a matter of fact, Nasser Kazeminy is Iranian in his origin.
In the process of this meeting the Chancellor of the Pedagogical University Rouben Mirzakhanyan conferred Nasser Kazeminy the title of Honorary Doctor and granted him the highest University award, the «Khachatur Abovyan Gold Medal».
And last but not least, let us remind that during the meeting with the RA Prime Minister and the President of the ASPU Board Tigran Sargsyan, Nasser Kazeminy also discusses the possible perspective of cooperation with the Pedagogical University and underlined that he highly praises the fact that the educational system is in the focus of the Prime Minister’s attention.
