Today, the ceremony of granting diplomas to the graduates of the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology of Education was held in a great solemnity; 201 BA and 48 MA graduates
received their diplomas, 41 of whom had Honour Degree.
The Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Srbouhi Gevorgyan greeted the graduates as follows, “This is very exciting moment, as for a second I flash back to the far September when you tied your future with this particular Faculty of the Pedagogical University. Now you are endowed with professional potential, civil disposition, your personal perception of the world, and stable point of view towards life; for all these you need to be grateful to the lecturer- professorial team,” Srbouhi Gevorgyan said.
The latter also assured that the knowledge, skills and abilities gained at the University will ground for their further personal development and professional achievements.
Soon after, the world-famous philosopher, logician, RA NAS Academician, President of the International Philosophy and the Armenian Philosophy Academies, Gevorg Brutyan in his turn congratulated the graduates. The latter also called each and every person to first of all, be their own critics. “Genii are not born by a chance, but there are also genii who do not know they are ones. I am pretty sure that there are genii among you, too,” Gevorg Brutyan said.
Afterwards, the Heads of Departments also made their complimentary speeches to the graduates.
During the ceremony, graduation diplomas were also granted to 156 BA students of the Special Education Faculty. In fact, they are the first graduates of the newly opened Faculty.
The Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Arminei Avagyan also greeted and congratulated the graduates. She exhorted the students to stay in touch with the University as the best specialists of the sphere work in this very University.
The ex-Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Biological Sciences Spartak Palikyan also made a complimentary speech. The latter assures, that today, the graduates are receiving diplomas of the country’s leading establishment providing education- Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan.
“Wherever you find yourselves, never lose the hope towards your power; fight and you will win as your lecturers have already given you profound knowledge,” Spartak Palikyan said.
In addition, a no less ceremonial granting of diplomas was arranged to 166 graduates of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography; 17 of these students received Honour Degree Diplomas.
The Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Svetlana Hovakimyan congratulated the graduates.
“Today we are also having a great celebration for our lecturers, too, as we are letting a new generation enter the life; a generation to which we passed our own knowledge and experience, and infused the qualities of future teachers. You must be proud of the fact that you studied at the University that taught honoured pedagogues throughout 90 years,” Svetlana Hovakimyan said.
