From June 4 to 11, Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Rouben Mirzakhanyan left on an official visit for the Russian Federation and Ukraine where he met with

the leadership of local pedagogical universities.
On June 4, in Moscow City Pedagogical University (MGPU), ASPU Rector, Honored Worker of Culture, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan met with newly appointed Rector of the MGPU Alexander Kutuzov.
The two rectors discussed the prospects for mutual cooperation between the two universities.
Rouben Mirzakhanyan awarded Alexander Kutuzov the honorary medal of Armenian State Pedagogical University.
Later the same day, Mr. Mirzakhanyan met with President of the MGPU, Professor Victor Ryabov to discuss organization of training process in the two universities as well as promotion of international cooperation in different spheres.
Moscow City Pedagogical University and Moscow University for Humanities have merged recently, with Alexander Kutuzov becoming rector of the two major educational institutions.
At the end of the meeting, Rouben Mirzakhanyan visited the History Museum and Library of Moscow City Pedagogical University.
The next meeting was with Rector of Ukrainian National Pedagogical University after M. Dragomanov, Academician Victor Andryushchenko, who also chairs the Council of Rectors of European Pedagogical Universities.
Rouben Mirzakhanyan, who has been elected a member of the Council of Rectors, will attend the meeting of the Council to be held in Prague in October.
Victor Andryushchenko and Rouben Mirzakhanyan discussed the possibilities of training professors and students through exchange programs as well as issues related to the organization of educational process.
At the instruction of renowned philosopher and Professor Gevorg Brutyan, Chairman of the International Academy of Philosophy and Armenian Philosophical Academy, Director of International Institute of Metaphilosophy and Transformational Logic at the ASPU, member of Presidium of the RA National Academy of Sciences, Rouben Mirzakhanyan awarded Victor Andryushchenko with a medal of “David Anhaght” (a.k.a. David the Invincible).
