WB representatives visit Pedagogical University

Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hosted representatives of the World Bank (WB) Christian Aedo, Sachiko Kataoka, Julia Lieberman, Nino Kutateladze and Anush Shahverdyan.
 
They met with Mher Melik-Bakhshyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Educational, Methodological and Scientific Work, Rita Gevorgyan, Head of the Strategic Development Department, Tigran Mikaelyan, Head of the Chair of Germanic Languages and Christina Tsaturyan, Head of the International Cooperation Department. The interlocutors discussed the process of works implemented within the framework a WB-funded cooperation program with the University of Oulu, Finland, and the recorded progress. The ASPU representatives presented their assessment on the reforms underway at the University and the implemented work.
 
They noted that the reforms are compliant with European standards and aim to integrate the University into the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
 
In their turn, the WB representatives elaborated on the results of the program financed by the Russia Education Aid for Development (READ) Trust Fund which refers to the evaluation of the education system. If approved, the program will allow training specialists from Armenian State Pedagogical University, Yerevan State University and Yerevan State Linguistic University.
