ASPU- Grant Project Coordinator

It is the first time that the Armenian State Pedagogical University has been acting as a grant project coordinator.
 
The ASPU won in Tempus IV –Fifth Call for Proposals as a result of which a Master’s Degree programme will be worked out in the specialization of “Higher Educational Management, Preparation of Educational Transformation Management Leaders”. 
 
For the implementation of the new MA programme the corresponding qualifications, learning outcomes, assessment system based on learning outcomes , teaching and learning methodology will be  developed, the University capacity will be improved. During the project, it is intended to open the Chair of Educational Management at the Pedagogical University. The ASPU will also establish a Professional Association of Education Professionals. The project duration is 36 months. It will start on 15 October 2012, while the intended end of the project is on 14 October 2015.     
 
Moreover, within the framework of the project, it is also intended to develop professional qualification advancement programmes, which are open for the lecturers both from the ASPU and from the beneficiary universities. Eastern Neighbourhood countries will have two representatives in the project- Armenia and Georgia with the following corresponding establishments: ASPU (Project Coordinator), Yerevan State Economic University, Vanadzor State Pedagogical University, Goris State University, National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA), the RA Ministry of Education and Science from Armenia, and the Illia State University, the International Black Sea University, the Shota Rustaveli State University, the Akaki Tsereteli State University, the National Center for Education Quality Improvement, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia from Georgia.
 
Among the counterpart countries from Europe are Germany with the University of Koblenz-Landau, France with the International Center for Pedagogical Studies, Czech Republic with the Masaryk University, Italy with the European Center of Studies and Initiatives, and the Great Britain with the Bath Spa University and the Middlesex University.
  
More to the point, its is also intended to involve students into the new MA course, to provide introductory consultation to the new students, as well as to realize students exchange programmes, students employment on public basis. In addition, 15 students from the ASPU will take part in an experiment within the framework of the project, and for the project efficiency aims, a part of their education will be arranged at higher educational establishments in England.
