The fifth Panarmenian Educational Conference organized by the RA Ministry of Education and Science was held time in Tsaghkadzor for the fifth with the participation of 19
countries from the Diaspora, about 140 representatives from Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and RA education field.
Joint discussions about strengthening Armenia-Diaspora educational relations, preserving and developing national identity, effective solutions of teaching educational problems were made and constructive suggestions were brought up at 8 plenary sessions and 6 groups.
Besides, issues referring to pedagogical education, teachers’ trainings, textbooks, educational materials, distant learning arrangement, and other relevant issues especially for publishing of the pedagogical press were also discussed.
Moreover, numerous problems under discussions during the four days of the conference were commented on by professionals well-known both here, in the native country and at the Diaspora.
In addition, the Chancellor of the Pedagogical University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan was also invited to the conference as a reporter.
During the conference, the latter introduced the University’s professions and further prospects of pedagogical education, as well as spoke about the work undertaken to train teachers from the Diaspora in the pedagogical direction at the University.
In his turn, the University Chancellor assured that the University has are all the necessary conditions for the teachers from Diaspora to become proper specialists and to proceed from education to employment.
Afterwards, the participants of the conference addressed a variety of questions to the Chancellor regarding the personnel training of the Pedagogical. The teachers from the Diaspora were especially worried about the difficulties while receiving higher pedagogical education for those from Diaspora based on regional peculiarities.
By the way, just like at the one-month teachers’ trainings, at the sixth Panarmenian Educational Conference, too, a number of lecturers from the Pedagogical showed active participation.
On this occasion, the RA Minister of ES Armen Ashotyan expressed gratitude to the University Chancellor for assisting to the contextual work of the Conference.
Likewise, the Minister of ES informed that the cooperation between the RA Ministry of Education and Science and the Pedagogical University will be further expanded in favour of improvement of education and Armenian national preservation aims.
