A working consultation adjunct to the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies was held at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The consultation was attended by deputy deans and heads of chairs of ten faculties.
ASPU Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan was also present at the consultation. In his speech, he especially emphasized the work of deputy deans in the organization of a conference marking the 90th anniversary of the University. The lecturer-professorial team of the University, young researchers, post-graduate students, degree seekers and MA students are expected to participate in the conference to be held on December 12.
“In order to increase the reputation of the Pedagogical University and ensure its tangible progress we should turn the establishment into a scientific-methodical center,” Mr. Mirzakhanyan said adding that integration processes are still underway at the ASPU. The University continually signs agreements with the leading universities of Moscow, Oulu, Ukraine, US and Tbilisi, thereby enabling its research workers, post-graduate students and degree seekers to have their articles published in the periodicals of the aforesaid universities.
Kamo Vardanyan, Head of the Scientific Research Center, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor,

delivered a report on the scientific directions of the University chairs.
He also introduced the Organizing Committee of the conference marking the 90th anniversary of the University, the support team, requirements for topics and other issues.
Sima Vardanyan, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, reported on the preparatory work for certification of post-graduate students and degree seekers.
The participants of the consultation also focused on other current issues, with Ara Yeremyan, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, giving assignments to deputy deans and heads of chairs of corresponding faculties.
