13.09.2012
Since January, the ASPU high-school college classes have been held in a new building – at the secondary school number 57 after V.Totovents, which was allocated to the Pedagogical University by the RA Government resolution of 29 December 2011.

Since 3 September, just like in the whole country, here too, the academic year has fully got down to its activities.

Similar to the previous years, the college has had a large number of applicants for this academic year too. As a result of the competition, the college formed the 10th grade for the following groups: mathematical -natural sciences, cultural /painting, design, direction/, humanitarian / psychology, journalism/  streams.

“”In the last academic year, the humanitarian and mathematical-natural sciences group had 51 graduates, the majority of whom are already freshmen in different faculties of our University,” said the acting Director of the high-school college, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Naira Safaryan.

Besides, as she assured, in 2012/2013 academic year about 100 pupils will be studying at the main school of the college, and the high-school college will have about 400 students.
More to the point, from this year on, about 250 students will also study on the second floor of the same building, where the college after Axel Bakunts is located.

Let us also remind that as a result of amendments in the RA law on “Secondary Education”, the Pedagogical College after Axel Bakunts was dissolved and joined to the Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan.
