ASPU Graduate to Continue Studies at University of Burgundy
14.09.2012
In 2012, Mariam Gevorgyan graduated from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU). Currently,

she is a postgraduate student.

During the six years of studies, she has been guided by the words of renowned physicist Albert Einstein, “Never give up on something you are longing for, even if they say it is impossible to do. It can even serve as a driving force to prove the opposite.” Mariam longed to continue her studies in one of the leading universities of Europe.

After passing the professional exams, Mariam fulfilled her longtime dream – she will continue her studies at the University of Burgundy (Université de Bourgogne).

She will develop one of the themes of contemporary physics - Cold Atom Association in Degenerate Quantum Gases via STIRAP - under the supervision of Arthur Ishkhanyan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Armenia, and Hans Jauslin, Professor at the University of Burgundy.

“The program will enable me to develop my scientific skills, attend the lectures of famed professors and visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world, get familiarized with its culture and traditions,” said Mariam.

She is proud to have studied at the ASPU. On her professional way, she has been guided by the best lecturers of the University, including Professor Gagik Demirkhanyan, Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Arthur Ishkhanyan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, a corresponding member of the RA NAS. The latter also lectures at European universities.

Mariam Gevorgyan assured us that she would be happy to transfer her knowledge to the next generations of her favorite University.
