On September 26 and 27, Sima Vardanyan, Head of the Postgraduate Department of the Pedagogical University, Kamo Vardanyan, Head of the Scientific Research Centre, Jemma Minasyan, Assistant to Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Lyova Harutyunyan, Head of the Department of Master’s Courses, and Ara Yeremyan, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, met MA students and postgraduate students of the Pedagogical University. The meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the University’s Scientific Library.
The meeting aimed to promote the academic performance of students, clarify their future actions and outline the University’s academic priorities.
Sima Vardanyan presented the postgraduate students and their supervisors the requirements of the “Postgraduate Research Support Program -2012” competition.
The University’s administration again expressed the willingness to assist students in their scientific research works.
They also referred to the activity of University chairs, stressing the need for keeping feedback with students. Then, they gave instructions and tips for organizing work on a better level, discussed the current work and answered the questions posed during the meeting.
Ara Yeremyan, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, highlighted the preparations for the conference to be held on December 12 in connection with the University’s 90th anniversary, calling the attendees’ attention to students’ involvement in the event.
“This is an excellent opportunity for students [doing research projects] to publish their research papers and articles and come up with their own initiatives,” he said.
Present at the meeting were Mariam Melkumyan and Levon Nazaryan, representatives of the University’s Student Scientific Society. They expressed willingness to be engaged in the aforesaid activities.
