Inviting prominent professors and scientists to participate in seminars and deliver lectures has already become a good tradition at the Pedagogical University.
The Professor of the Lorraine University Petros Joulhakyan was also invited to make a presentation at the joint seminar arranged by the Department of Theoretical Physics and Physics Teaching Methods and the Laboratory of new Materials of Quantum Electronic and Integral Optics.
From 9-12 October, the latter made a short visit to Armenia to participate in the international conference headed “Laser Physics- 2012”, which took place at the Physical Research Institute of the NAS.
Before starting the lecture, the Professor introduced the process of acquisition of funds to finance the activities and science at Lorraine University, told about the research laboratory work, as well as the educational system that prepares teachers in France, which substantially differed from ours.
In his report in English, Petros Joulhakyan presented the students and the teaching-professorial team with the probation process of the structure and correlation of electrons through electrons collision and ionization of atomic and molecular targets.
The Head of the Department of Theoretic Physics and Physics Teaching Methods, Doctor of Physical-Mathematical Sciences Edward Kokanyan has been in collaborating with the Lorraine University since 1994. And each year he delivers lectures for the students of the Lorraine University and supervises its PhD students’ works.
The latter informed that in the result of a long-term cooperation Petros Joulhakyan is glad to accept the suggestion of the Department of Theoretical Physics and Physics Teaching Methods; thus, the Professor is going to deliver lectures at the pedagogical University for a whole month.
More to the point, for the Joy of those present the Mr. Kokanyan also informed that Petros Joulhakyan expressed his desire to deliver lectures at the Pedagogical University for a whole month.
We would also like to mention that an agreement will be signed between the Armenian State University after Khachatur Abovyan and the Lorraine University, which implies lecturers, students, educational programmes exchange as well as scientific work realization.
