Famous musician Gevorg Gasparyan is a graduate of the Faculty of Culture; today, he is presenting “Ave Maria” by Astor Piazzolla at the native University.

After many years, just like Gevorg Gasparyan, who is the only bandoneon player in Armenia, Arthur Manoukyan is again on the Pedagogical stage. The pipe, the duduk, the zurna, - during the soiree, several folk instruments are played in Arthur’s powerful hands on the Pedagogical stage. Knowledge, participation in festivals, acknowledgement- today, the teacher of the Musical School hurries to celebrate his merits with the native university.
Just like the other musicians, he also came to the University on the occasion of events organized within the framework of 90th anniversary of the Pedagogical. It’s already been three days that the Faculty of Culture is at a cultural fuss. The three-day concert programme was launched with the choreographic performance of the ensemble of the Department of Pedagogy of Choreography, followed by the performance “King of Kilikia” acted by the Department of Direction.
The list of events was concluded with the performance of brass and folk orchestra of the Department of Music.
The concert began with the creative performance of “I love you Armenia/ Yesim Anoush Hayastani” by Yeghishei Charents presented by the graduate of the university Mamikon Badalyan, which was then followed by the performance of the Folk Instruments Band of the Department. Under the conduct of the bandmaster, Associate Professor Levon Avagyan the musical pieces “Impromptu”, “I have a Field/ Art me ounim”, “Dance Suite” were performed.

In the second part of the concert, the brass band, conducted by the bandmaster Kolya Martirosyan, presented compositions by Arno Babajanyan, Konstantin Orbelyan, Arthur Polonski, Georgi Sviridov.
In addition, the audience was pleasantly surprised by the new cover of the well-known “Al Aylukh” and “Lorik” by Komitas with saxophone instrumentation.
The conductor of the “Saxophone Quartet”, Lecturer of the Department, Associate Professor Sevada Shhoyan, who grew in a family of Komitas lovers, in his turn observes, “Komitas dreamt that his musical pieces were also played by the saxophone. And now, on the 90th anniversary of the University establishment, we decided to perform these rare performances.”
The author of the idea, the Dean of the Faculty of Culture, graduate of the Brass Band Department, RA Honoured Art Worker, Professor Gevorg Tadevosyan considers the concert a success. Keeping the brackets, he still promises the audience new an even bigger surprise.
Upon the end of the concert, the Head of the Department of Music, RA Honoured Art Worker Ara Gevorgyan once again congratulates the audience of the University after Khachatur Abovyan, as well as grants diplomas to a number of lecturers, students and graduates for active participation in events on 90th anniversary of the University.
Finally, we would like to mention, that during the tree –day events, the best works of the students of the Department of Art Photography were exhibited in the entrance hall of the Faculty of Culture.
