“Hello,
This single word I say…” The annual recitation contest-festival organized by the Student Scientific Society (SSS) of the Pedagogical University started with this unmatched poem of

Armenian poem Paruyr Sevak. The festival was held within the framework of events dated to the 90th anniversary of the University.
Students from different faculties of the University participated in the recitation festival held for the second time. The participants recited poems written by them.
The right to choose the best authors was entrusted to Yuri Hovhannisyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Aida Hovhannsiyan, Professor at the Chair of Direction, Hasmik Sahakyan, Head of the Cabinet of Armenian Language and Literature Teaching Methods named after Ashot Abrahamyan, and Abgar Apinyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor.
During the summarization of the contest results, Christine Harutyunyan, a four-year student of the Faculty of Special Education, was awarded the third prize in the category “The Best Work of Authorship”. The prize was given to her by Samvel Metajyan, Assistant to the Yerevan Mayor and Chairman of the Youth Council under the Yerevan Municipality.
The second prize winner was Jora Hakobyan, a second-year student of the Faculty of Art Education. He received the prize from Mher Melik-Bakhshyan, Vice-Rector for Educational, Methodological and Scientific Affairs. The latter suggested that the SSS organize next year an inter-university recitation contest festival.

Lilit Adamyan, a third-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, was named the first prize winner in the same category. She received the prize from Aida Hovhannsiyan.
Welcoming the festival participants, the latter said the contest was an important step towards poetry for the authors and reciters. On behalf of the jury, Aida Hovhannsiyan confessed that it was rather difficult for them to choose the best one.
Syune Manucharyan, a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology and Social Pedagogy, was named the “Best Reciter.” She received the award from SSS Chairman Georgy Gabrielyan.
“The festival testifies to the fact that there are many talented students in our University. We can confidently say that our schools will be in reliable hands tomorrow, "said Mr Gabrielyan.
The event was supplemented with musical performances by Mariam Melik-Bakhshyan, Emily Ghukasyan, Haykazn Yepremyan and Yuri Abrahamyan.
