In its sitting held in Prague on October 24-26, the Association of Rectors of Pedagogical Universities in Europe decided to include two new members – Rouben Mirzakhanyan, Rector
of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan and Julian Auleytner, Rector of the Pedagogical University of Warsaw.
The sitting brought together about 21 rectors and prorectors, deans and directors of research institutes of 15 universities from 10 countries.
In his speech, Academician Victor Andryushchenko, the founding President of the Association, Rector of the Ukrainian National Pedagogical University after M. Dragomanov, highlighted the adoption of the Pedagogical Constitution of Europe and invited the presentees to submit their proposals and observations on the draft document.
At the end of of comprehensive discussions, it was decided to continue discussions on the final version of the Pedagogical Constitution till March, 2013, and to submit the final document for approval during the Association’s congress to be held in Frankfurt am Main in May, 2013.
The Association’s new journal "European Pedagogical Studies" was presented at the meeting.
