Educational Support to Children for Families in Need

Today, the Pedagogical University hosted the launching event of the pilot project “Educational Support to Children Aged 16-18 from Families Registered in the RA Family Vulnerability Assessment System”.
 
 
Around one hundred pupils from families in need from the Shengavit community participate in the project, who, according to the questionnaires on needs survey, expressed desire to get educated on a variety of subjects for further admissions to universities.
 
 
Lecturers, MA and PhD students selected from different faculties of the University are implementing the project, who, in fact, showed willingness to participate on voluntary basis from the very beginning.
 
 
The whole process of the project implementation are coordinated and supervised by the Vice Chancellor of Distant and

 Additional Education, Candidate of Physical-Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Tigran Ayvazyan and the Center for Professional Qualification Improvement and Intercollegiate Cooperation. 
 
In addition, regular knowledge assessment and monitoring are planned in the learning process.
 
Classes on Armenian Language and Literature, Mathematics, English Language, History, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics are held on Saturdays, from 12.00- 15.00.
