KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The 1st of September was a festive day at Basic School #57 of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The children had staged a part from the Armenian cartoon “Gtnvats Yeraz” (Dream Found). The first graders were greeted with songs, dances and smiles and were assured that friendship starts from a smile.

Principal of the School Naira Toghanyan congratulated the first graders and dispelled the excitement and concerns of the little ones and their parents. She assured that this phase of life will be helpful for the children as it will be a period of joy, happiness and achievements.

“Believe me when I say that your children will be in a very hospitable environment and atmosphere. May the only excitement here be of joy and pride here! Good luck to everyone,” the Principal said.

The first graders entered the school by walking on the red carpet, with the accompaniment of headmasters Karine Chibukhchyan and Hasmik Sosikyan. As a matter of fact, this year there are two classes of 61 first graders.

Let us mention that learners of all grades at the school will be taught based on new nationwide educational criteria during the new academic year.
