September 1 is marked in Armenia as Day of Knowledge and Schooling.
The ASPU rector and the teaching staff of the University congratulated students of the ten faculties, specifically first-year students, on the occasion of the day, assuring everyone that ‘it is a great honour and responsibility to be a student of a smithy named after the Great Enlightener (Grigor Lusavorich).’
Deans of faculties, heads of chairs and lecturers also congratulates the 1676 freshmen who are going to take Bachelor’s (976 students) and Master’s (700 students) degree courses at the University.
In their congratulatory messages, they stressed that Armenian State Pedagogical University, a leading pedagogical university in the Republic of Armenia, has been educating future generations of the country for many decades.
Once again they emphasized that a pedagogue has been and remains a devotee of selfless work with his/her inexhaustible dedication, who spares no effort and energy to educate conscious and literate generations.
The Pedagogical University congratulates all pupils, students, teachers and devotees of education, wishing them a bright future, fruitful work and numerous achievements in the new academic year.
The day continued with a tour inside the University after which first-year students had their first lesson at the higher education institution.
