Today, the Rector of the Pedagogical University Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan welcomed the Head of the Chinese “GoMen” Productivity Promotion Centre Xe Yu Rong, the Education Officer Chai June, the Director of Foreign Business Affairs Gan Chn Jing, and other Representatives of this organization.
During the meeting, the Rector introduced the disciplines offered at the University, the campuses, their expansion capacities in regards with particularly the project of creation of a sport complex and a psychological clinic.
Speaking about the upcoming activities, Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan considered as a priority the reconstruction project of one of the University campuses for the Faculty of Art Education. It will allow various Departments of the given Faculty to use modern technologies and to improve diverse areas of applied arts.
In their turn, the Chinese guests wanted to get familiarized with the presented projects more thoroughly, taking into account the University’s capacities and potential, as well as its risks to undertake an investment programme.
The Head of the Centre Xe Yu Rong assured that upon his return, he will communicate the projects to the relevant authorities and will discuss future activities and cooperation edges.
In addition, within the framework of their visit to Armenia, the Chinese guests shared about their interest in various areas of the country, including economy and education, expressed their hope that the proposed programmes would to a certain extent contribute to maintaining exchange programmes for Armenian and Chinese students and establish cultural discourses between Armenian and Chinese people.
Further on, Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan highly appreciated the gradually strengthening Armenian- Chinese relations, once again outlined the effective experience achieved in the education sector, hoping to commence official discussion between the two countries on a state level with regards to expanding the existing cooperation.
Last but not least, the Head of the Centre Xe Yu Rong expressed acknowledgements for the reception and assured that upon obtaining the programme, all steps and objectives would be discussed, and since the Chinese side was interested particularly in education sector, consequently making investments to strengthen the Armenian-Chinese cooperation bridge will continue.
