Armenian State Pedagogical University and the editorial board of WISDOM periodical are delighted to present the 15th issue of the journal (the second one in 2020) to the scientific community.
Although the last two issues of the periodical have been published amid the coronavirus epidemic that put the staff’s endeavours to the test WISDOM has recently gained two attainments. After solving some technical issues, WISDOM has become member of the LOCKSS network (see: https://www.lockss.org/join-lockss/networks/global-lockss-network)- a prominent platform that from now on will deposit the electronic version of the journal.
The second accomplishment was announced on May 06, 2020 when the Scopus international scientometric database reckoned the Cite Score Tracker for WISDOM – 0.2 – and the journal came 406th among the 606 periodicals on Arts and Humanities: Philosophy ((https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/606721100873483).
The 18 articles published in the current issue reflect and dwell on problems traditionally addressed in various sections of the journal: Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, Metaphilosophy, Argumentation, Communication; Social and Political Philosophy; History of Philosophy, Philosophy of Art, Philosophy of Law.
“Today, more than ever, a thinking, I would rather say a creative person relies on his wisdom and the wisdom of his peers to understand, comprehend, value and generalize the transformations of his and others' thinking in the given situation, as well as his and others' ensuing behaviour,” Hasmik Hovhannisyan, Head of the Chair of Philosophy and Logic named after Academician Georg Brutian.
The latter is hopeful that the results of the expert research in natural sciences will find their philosophical meaning and interpretation, innovative tricks of acquiring knowledge will provide wiser behavior and will propose ways to overcome the coronavirus and to live in harmony with the novel coronavirus.
