The ASPU Head of the Chair of Sociology and Social Work, Professor Armen Sahakyan participated in the international forum on the topic of “Norther Caucasus in New Technological Structures” organized in Pyatigorsk, RF.
Among the participants of the forum were representatives from both Northern Caucasian states and high- level officials from the RF.
During the two-day forum, the professor presented his report on the subject of “Human Capital Development Methods in the Region and Peculiarities of the Academic System”.
The forum aimed at uniting the resources of the Northern Caucasian territories of the RF which would contribute to the development of academic, socio-economic, and population’s financial literacy level, etc.
A few days ago the Head of the Chair also visited the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories (the branch of Russian Academy of Sciences) in Vologda with which the ASPU had signed a cooperation memorandum.
The partners made an initial agreement according to which the University’s students would spend their pedagogical internship at the Vologda educational centre, and joint scientific conferences would be organized.
Likewise, webinars and visits will be organized to increase the qualification of the academic staff of the Chair of Sociology and Social work, as well as research activities will be initiated jointly together with the scientists of the centre.
What is more, within the scope of the visit to the RF, the Head of the Chair of Sociology and Social Work Armen Sahakyan participated in the 5th international practical –research conference headed “Economics and Management in the 21st Century: Theory and Practice” as a Co-Chairman.
Last but not least, the reports by the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Education Psychology were presented in a scientific manual.
