KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

On December 1-3, a series of online lectures were conducted between Armenian State Pedagogical University and Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University.

Professor Khachatur Stepanyan, ScD in History, Head of the Chair of World History and its Teaching Methods delivered a lecture (entitled “Sovietization of Transcaucasia”) for students and lecturers of the Faculty of History of the Ukrainian university, while Professor Galyna Starodubets, Doctor of Sciences (History), Head of the Department of the World History in Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, delivered a lecture (on Sovietization of Western Ukraine) for ASPU students – future historians and sociologists.

The discussion of the topics was productive and interested both sides.

It should be noted that the two pedagogical universities have reached an agreement to deepen cooperation between the two departments.
