Open Discussion Lecture with Robert Jijyan

A few days ago an open discussion lecture was held with the Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Robert Jijyan. Among those participating at the discussion lesson were the students of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the Faculty of EPS, together with the teaching staff, Professor Qajik Ohanyan and other guests.

During the open discussion lecture about “Formation of a Social State” the Professor referred to social states as an ideal of social development, and to sociology that should be built not as a social physics, but as social invention.

Likewise, Professor Jijyan mentioned that humans are natural social beings, whose selfishness has no limits; they think only when life makes them think.

Human life lasts just an instant, but he fills in that instant with an insatiable realization of his simple desires.

Furthermore, the Professor spoke about social invention that is a required precondition for people as social beings, for their adequate understanding and hermeneutics of the overall method of sociological research.

At the end of the open discussion lesson Professor Qajik Ohanyan from the Saint-Petersburg expressed acknowledgments for the lecture and spoke about the self-recognition, acknowledgement of their own roots, contextual differences of the concept of ideal and ideology.
