KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

On May 25, Armen Chilingaryan, a lecturer of the Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy, organized an open lecture on the theme “Schizophrenia, its Clinical Features and Psychosocial Factors.”

During the event, students presented interesting information on schizophrenia, psychosocial factors on the occurrence of schizophrenia, clinical features and symptoms, childhood-onset schizophrenia and its clinical features.

Students majoring in Ergotherapy (occupational therapy) staged a small performance focusing on the role of Ergotherapy in the treatment of mental disorders, particularly on the role of occupational therapists in the rehabilitation of schizophrenic patients.

With the help of a question and answer session the students were able to clearly present their role in the field of special education and explain the relationship of psychiatry with other disciplines.
