KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the representatives of the Department of Media and Public relations visited the Armavir high-school N4.

The aim of the visit was to award the “Pedagogical University” medal to the Director of the school Sashik Vardanyan on his 65th anniversary for long-term, conscientious and pure cooperation.

“Graduates are the best proof for an educational establishment, particularly those who have highly preserved the name of a pedagogue throughout years. The ASPU is proud and grateful to Sashik Vardanyan for dedicated work and for sharing his professional skills with pupils and colleagues. Bringing up and educating generations was and remains to be one of the most important issues for a country”, mentioned the Head of the Department of Media and Public Relations Diana Markosyan, conveying the Rector’s congratulations.

In his turn , Sashik Vardanyan, for whom the gift from his native university was a great surprise, recalled his student years at the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute after Khachatur Abovyan from 1969-1973, the profound knowledge received therein, as well as the university’s contribution in the process of his professional development.

“I did not study as well at school as at the university; I am happy for my education, even though I have been improving and tuning it up with self- education throughout years” mentioned Sashik Vardanyan in his interview to the old.aspu.am. In fact, he has been the Director of the school for 26 years, and on this occasion he expressed his acknowledgements to the current Rector of the Pedagogical University Rouben Mirzakhanyan for the high appreciation received therefrom.

What is more, the Director of the Armavir high-school N4 mentioned frankly that until that day he had been accepting the ASPU representatives with utmost cordiality, and had been urging his pupils to continue the devoted work of a teacher.

And last but not least, for Sashik Vardanyan, the Director having the longest experience during the 50 years of history of a school that is guided by the slogan “A teacher must be a symbol”, the day was also marked with a jubilee matinée; besides, the teaching staff of the school and the pupils also congratulated the pedagogue with a decades of experience relating the achievements and the bright path of the school directly with the activities performed by the Director.

At the end of the meeting the school personnel presented the University with a symbolic picture the authored by one of the pupils.
