Today, the “Kadance” ensemble was performing at the Pedagogical University, within the scope of events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the ASPU.
The “Kadance” performed Argentinian, European, and Armenian classical masterpieces in front of the hall-full audience; the musicians performed pieces by Astor Piazzolla, Reneau Angolino, Aram Khachatryan, Komitas, and Eduard Baghdasaryan.
The organizer of this unprecedented, exceptional concert, which was unique in its form, the former Director of the ASPU Cultural Centre, Professor Arkadi Shekunts was assured it was also unique throughout the World.
“The Pedagogical University is a native place for me, a place, where I have been conducting pedagogical activities; and today, this was a special musical gift to my native university. People love and appreciate good music at our University and the feedback from the audience and music amateurs served as a proof thereof.”
“We performed with great love and cordiality; and according to the feedback from the audience this was what they expected for”,mentioned the Guitar player, the RA Honoured Artist, Professor Hakob Jaghatspanyan in his interview to the old.aspu.am at the end of the concert.
What is more, he noted that he was familiar with the high professionalism of lecturers at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University; as well as, he advised to the students to self-educate themselves and to stay away from today’s Armenian music art that presented itself as genuine Armenian music.
“Learn, get self-educated, be interested in other areas of art and study science since it reflects on art. An empty person cannot disseminate anything valuable”, added the musician.
