On November 18, Armenian State Pedagogical University hosted German writer Konstanze Yone. The visit was organized by the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods. The writer presented her latest book – “Forty Days in Armenia: In Ancient countries of Caucasus,” which compiled the impressions of her forty-day trip to Armenia in 2014.

In her speech the author stressed that she is interested in the history of Armenia, starting from ancient times to the present day.

Haghpat, Sanahin, Alaverdi, Ashakan and many other sights… the German writer had an opportunity to visit many picturesque places in Armenia and present her boundless admiration for each of them in her multi-genre books.

Talking to old.aspu.am, Melanya Astvatsatryan, Head of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods, said the Faculty has been cooperating with the write for many years. The Professor also considered it a great honour for them that the presentation of the book was held at the ASPU.

The event was attended by lecturers, students, representatives of the Union of Writers and Ministry of Education and Science.
